Dr. Castillo is an attending faculty at the Northwell System in New York. She completed her premedical education at the University of Calgary in Alberta.
Clinical Faculty LeadershipAfter completion of her medical degree at Ross University, she went into Pediatrics at Brookdale University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at Northwell Cohen Children's Hospital of Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
As UME program director, she helped manage and design the clerkship and ICM program at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, catering to third and fourth year medical students from SUNY Downstate, Touro COM, NYCOM, Medical University of Lublin, St. George's University and Spartan Health Sciences University.
She has taught pediatric residents at Northwell, as well as second, third and fourth year medical students at Zucker School of Medicine/ Hofstra in New York.
Dr. Castillo managed the health services unit of the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Great Neck, NY, as well as served as an attending at several New York City-based public schools. She precepts second year students at Zucker as part of the Introduction to Clinical Education (ICE) program.
